XOXO, GG” In honour of the New Gossip girl reboot on HBO Max and Crave (if you’re Canadian like me), I wanted to bring awareness to the cultural reset that was and is Gossip Girl. In this blog I will not be sharing the fashion in Gossip Girl due to the fact I will soon be doing a whole separate blog dedicated to that. I am currently writing this blog while listening to the GG soundtrack to get some inspo about the 2007 major hit that is/was “Gossip Girl.”

Happy Habits + Journaling Routine

Lately, I have been trying to see my life in a more positive way. Here are some of the habits and activities that are causing me to feel happier and making me more grateful. I am sharing them in this blog in the hopes that you can take away some inspiration, ideas and positivity. 

  1. Listening to uplifting music 

This really, really has made me gain more self confidence. I really like to listen to music that has meaning. I am the type of person who has to listen to every single word. I find that I am drawn to songs that have specific lyrics or a single lyric that resonates with me or a song that has a fun beat. I have found lots of different genres of music that I love and am so into. I have always been a music gal but recently I have been really diving into songs and understanding them, as opposed to just mindlessly having them playing in the background. 

  1. Trying new activities 

I feel like at times I can be more of a homebody because I really like to stick with what I have been doing for the past 2 years. I want to start going out more and I have found some fun activities that I can do both at home and out in the world. 

Some home activity options:  

Do my makeup a new way 

Read NF or F books 

Make a vision board 

Try affirmation meditation 

Find a new music album 

Outdoor activity options:

Shop for flowers 

Browse specialty food stores 

Visit and support local small businesses 

Visit bookstores and art galleries

Go out to dinner

See live music concerts with friends

  1. Prioritizing self care/ my journaling routine  

Journalling is something that I have been very drawn to recently. That is one of my biggest self care rituals. If you were thinking of getting into journaling I thought I would take you through my journaling routine. 

I start my mornings off by doing my Five Minute Journal and answering the prompts. If I have a busy day ahead of me I like to fill out my Doing Well Daily Planner and on the days where I have more time I like to answer a self reflection prompt in my Dreamer Journal. I recently bought the Mind Your Business planner that has been trending all over IG Reels and TikTok and I have been really enjoying it! The case is so nice and chic, and the prompts and layout help me be more organized for upcoming projects, school work etc. 

I try to find the positives and always see the glass half full. I have been trying to implement more activities and mindsets that get me excited for life and happier, I hope this gives you some inspiration! Tell me in the comments: what is something that has been making you happy?
