“Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place.”- Taylor Swift
Happy Autumn! It is so nice to finally sit down and write a new blog. Summer is officially over and It was one for the books! I absolutely loved the overall energy this summer, but I am ready to change seasons and have a change of pace. This blog post is a recap and some things I am doing to get in the mood for Autumn!
Setting the mood with a perfect Autumn playlist
I have been curating playlists since 2015. When I was a self-proclaimed YouTuber in 2014 I loved listening to autumn music and finding new songs through different YouTubers’ Spotify playlists. The Fall content from OG beauty gurus in this time period really was so inspiring lol.
I have curated the perfect playlist for me that has a wide range of artists and genres. Recently I have been enjoying country “neon cowgirl” music. Spotify has some amazing curated playlists already created.
The overall vibe for my autumn playlist is “It Girl Autumn.” I have music that I love that will make me the happiest for this overall season, including music from Taylor Swift (of course!), Tom Odell, Labrinth, The Killers, Phoebe Bridgers, Kacey Musgraves, and WAY MORE (over 20 hours of music!). The genres are pop, indie, indie rock, country pop, and alternative rock. All the chill music that puts me in a fall mood <3

Creating a list of all the things I am looking forward to.
In the past, I have had mixed opinions on fall and the colder months because, especially where I live, it gets SO cold, but this time I am really excited. I have written down a huge list of all the activities and things I can look forward to. Here are a few examples on my list:
- Wearing cozy outfits and curating outfits I like
- Pumpkin spice and all things nice lol
- Creating a list of all the books I want to read
- Going to school football games
- Doing fall activities with my friends
- Listening to all the new music! (MIDNIGHTS!!!!)
- Trying healthy recipes
- Baking
Making a mood board
I just recently made my fall vision board. This summer I made a board and it was a great visual aid to help me see how I want to spend my time and work toward it. I have a full blog post on how I make my vision boards on my blog linked HERE. Going on Pinterest, creating a board, and then adding them into a collage is so much fun. I learned a tip recently: you should put a picture of yourself in the middle of your vision board so you can see yourself doing these things and capturing the overall vibe. I have split up my vision board into sections: activities, quotes, outfits, and overall energy.
Researching all the fall fashion trends
I have a blog post coming really soon that goes into depth about trends I will be wearing and the trends I am seeing! I want to wear great outfits this fall and I started researching early in the season to create some staples. I already bought some new fall jeans and a faux leather jacket. I also bought my first designer bag! I bought a vintage Marc Jacobs carryall leather bag from The RealReal. The bag is giving Serena VW school bag tote and 2000s celebrities hiding from the paparazzi holding their Blackberry smartphones.
Reading new fall books!
This summer I read 6 books. Let me know if you still want a summer reading review! Maybe in an email list send-out? This fall I am trying to read more literary fiction classics. I have a huge Indigo (Canadian bookstore) list of books I can’t wait to read! I will be doing a fall reading haul on my Instagram and TikTok once I get the books.
I hope this blog gets you into the Autumn mood! Watch Gilmore Girls, rewatch Twilight, go get coffee with your friends in a cafe, take cute pictures, play your fave vibey album, whatever you can do to feel your best for the fall!
I will talk to you in my next post! Stay caught up with all things TTB on my Instagram and Tiktok <3
Sincerely,
Sadie
